The
Directors on the CRC-P Board include people who hold, or
have held, senior management positions in large
technology-based organisations. They bring to the Board
experience, knowledge and understanding in a wide range
of very relevant areas including: strategy, general
management, project management, research and
development, start-up companies, capital raising,
finance and education. Their combined experience as
company directors exceeds 100 years.

Dr Peter Coldrey
(Chair)
Independent Director
Dr Peter Coldrey
has been Chairman of CRC for Polymers since July
2003. He had a distinguished career in
industrial research working for ICI Australia
(now Orica) and SOLA Optical (now Carl Zeiss
Vision). He worked in the UK for 3 years and
later in the USA for 5 years during which time
he was Vice President in charge of Research and
Development for SOLA Optical USA. He is a Fellow
of the Academy of Technological Science and
Engineering and is a member of the South
Australian Committee. He is a Board Member of
the Murray Grey Beef Cattle Society and was
awarded a Centenary Medal for contribution to
Science and Technology. Dr Coldrey was educated
at the University of Melbourne and has a PhD in
chemical engineering and a Bachelor of
Commerce.

Dr Ian Dagley (CRC
for Polymers)
Director
Dr Ian Dagley
is the Chief Executive Officer of the CRC for
Polymers, a position held since December 1995.
Under his leadership the CRC's achievements have
included the licensing of five of its
technologies to industrial participants and the
creation of two spin-off companies. Dr Dagley
has a PhD in organic chemistry from the
University of Melbourne and an MBA from RMIT.
His research career has also included periods at
Oxford University, time with Pacific Dunlop, and
ten years in research positions with the Defence
Science and Technology Organisation. |

Mr Robert Trenberth (Chair
of the Operations Advisory Committee)
Director
Mr Robert Trenberth
serves on a number of Boards, both commercial
and non-profit. Commercial Board appointments
include: Chair of Riviera Properties Limited,
Chair of Extel Communications Pty Ltd, Deputy
Chair of Upstream Technology Group and Chair of
Advanced Polymerik Pty Ltd. Non-profit
appointments include: Director of the Florey
Neuroscience Institutes, Chair of the Australian
Industries Research Centre and of the Melbourne
Boston Sister Cities Association. He was
formerly Managing Director of Ajax McPherson's
Limited and then was appointed the Deputy
Secretary of the Federal Department of Industry,
Science & Technology and Chief Executive Officer
of Ausindustry. He has also acted as director of
a number of technology companies funded with
private equity. Mr Trenberth holds an MBA from
Harvard University Graduate School of Business,
a Master of Applied Science from University of
Waterloo, Canada and a Bachelor of Engineering
from the University of Melbourne.

Dr Robert Robinson
(Chair of the
Research and Education Advisory Committee)
Director
Dr Rob Robinson received
a PhD in experimental physics from Cambridge
University in 1982. He then moved to Los Alamos
National Laboratory in the United States to
carry out postdoctoral research, and was a staff
member there between 1985 and 1999. He has also
spent time as a visiting scientist at the
Institut Laue-Langevin (1984) the Japanese
National Laboratory for High-Energy Physics
(1992), and the Japan Atomic Energy Research
Institute (1994). He has been a fellow of the
American Physical Society since 1998 In December
1999 he moved to ANSTO to become leader of the
Neutron Scattering and Synchrotron Radiation
Group and he is also an Adjunct Professor in
both the
School of Physics at the University of New South
Wales and the Faculty of Science at
Sydney University and a fellow of the
Australian Institute of Physics. He
has been Leader of the
Bragg Institute, since its inception
in December 2002. Rob's main research
activities have been in condensed-matter
physics. His current research interests include
strongly correlated f-electron systems
magnetism in uranium intermetallics, molecular
magnets, the dynamics of amorphous materials and
neutron-scattering instrumentation.

Dr Greg Simpson
(Chair of the
Commercialisation Advisory Committee)
Director
Dr Greg Simpson holds the role
of Deputy Chief of
the Molecular and Health Technologies division
of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial
Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia’s
largest national research organisation. Greg
brings to the Board significant experience in
research management and technology transfer,
having established collaborations and technology
deals with some of the world’s largest companies
as well as working with many Australian
manufacturing companies.
A graduate of the University of Sydney, Greg has
a PhD in organic chemistry. He undertook
postdoctoral studies at Imperial College, London
and has an Executive MBA from the Australian
Graduate School of Management, UNSW. Greg is a
past President and Fellow of the Royal
Australian Chemical Institute. |

Mr Bob Moses
Independent Director
Mr Bob Moses
is currently Chairman of several Boards
including TGR Biosciences, Sylvan Scientific,
and Antisense Therapeutics Limited. Mr Moses'
previous corporate experience includes a
spectrum of roles such as Corporate Vice
President of CSL Limited, Managing Director of a
law firm, Freehills, and Chairman/CEO of IVF
America, now IntegraMed (NASDAQ). His
qualifications include an AB, Oberlin; MBA,
University of Chicago, and additional studies at
Harvard University and University of Colorado.

Dr Ergad Gold
Independent Director
Dr Ergad Gold
is the Principal and Executive Director of
Momentum Investment Group.
Dr Gold is a technologist with many years'
experience in product development and
commercialisation spanning a wide range of
technologies. He has worked extensively in
industry, government and academia and for six
years operated his own consulting practice
specialising in technology and its management.
Dr Gold has a PhD and BSc (Hons) from the
University of Melbourne.

Mr Steve Wright (CRC
for Polymers)
Business Manager & Company Secretary
Mr Steve Wright
is the Business Manager and Company Secretary of
the CRC for Polymers. He has held this role
since January 1997. Prior to this time, Mr
Wright's experience included management roles at
CSIRO Building, Construction and Engineering,
and the National Building Technology Centre. He
holds a Bachelor of Economics from the
Australian National University and an MBA from
the University of New South Wales. |
